More Lancaster City Events: July to December of 2007Once again, the dates, times, and admission prices listed for these events are accurate as of the time of this posting. However, it is possible that changes may occur as the year progresses. Therefore, please check back periodically to see if there have been any updates. We will plan to list more events as information becomes available. If you would like to see what special events are taking place in some of the other towns of Lancaster County, please click on the link for each month. You will then be directed to a page describing the events taking place throughout the entire county during that given month.
Fourth of July Celebration - Celebrate the fourth of July with ice cream, games, entertainment, an art contest for children and crafts by local and visiting artisans.
HISTORICON 2007 - HISTORICON is the largest wargaming convention in North America. Each year approximately 5,000 tabletop generals attend this gaming convention to send miniature troops into battle and play with history. The convention is open to the public and includes a giant exhibitor hall, tournaments, military history seminars, workshops, games, a flea market and much more.
August Summer Entertainment Series - Every Sunday evening in August, Long's Park invites you to a free musical concert. Bring a blanket and chairs and picnic under the stars. Family foods and desserts will also be available.
Art in the Park - A free celebration of Art held in the relaxing environment of Musser Park. Over 40 artists will be featured. There will also be free hands-on projects for the entire family.
29th Annual Long's Park Art & Craft Festival - Recognized as one of American's top fine art and contemporary craft shows, this annual Labor Day weekend event features 200 exhibitors from across the country. Exquisite jewelry, magnificent paintings, trend-setting apparel and leather, beautiful ceramics and mixed media creations, stunning sculptures and much more will be on display. In addition there will be plenty of live music and gourmet cuisine all weekend long.
September 29th Annual Long's Park Art & Craft Festival - Recognized as one of American's top fine art and contemporary craft shows, this annual Labor Day weekend event features 200 exhibitors from across the country. Exquisite jewelry, magnificent paintings, trend-setting apparel and leather, beautiful ceramics and mixed media creations, stunning sculptures and much more will be on display. In addition there will be plenty of live music and gourmet cuisine all weekend long.
22nd Annual Hospice of Lancaster County Labor Day Auction - This popular benefit auction attracts approximately 8,000-10,000 people each year. You will find thousands of handcrafted items including quilts, furniture, artwork and some of the best Pennsylvania Dutch food prepared fresh on-site by Lancaster County Amish chefs.
Hometown Day - Live music and special dining outside Central Market. Downtown stores will offer special sidewalk sales and there will be a country auction at Penn Square. Trolley service will be free for the day.
Wheels...Wheels...Wheels - This Classic Car and Cycle Show along the streets of downtown Lancaster will include a large display of antique cars, classic cars, muscle cars, street rods, motorcycles, food, memorabilia vendors, and music.
2007 Latinofest - This annual celebration of the rich cultural heritage of Puerto Rico includes Latino art, music, and cuisine; arts & crafts; a presentation of the 50th Anniversary of "West Side Story at the Fulton Theatre; the 28th Annual Puerto Rican Parade; a dance party and much more.
October Pumpkin Patch Days - Kids will have fun plucking a pumpkin from a patch and building their own scarecrow during these autumn days. The hands-on activities are both fun and educational.
Fall Art Walk - You will certainly enjoy this annual weekend celebration filled with art presented by forty regional non-profit organizations, businesses and artists from all over the downtown area.
Harvest Breakfast - Another celebration of the seasonal harvest in Lancaster County. This time the entertainment will take place in one of the country's oldest markets. There will be plenty of live music, children’s activities, cooking demonstrations, and food tasting.
48th Annual Harvest Days -Celebrate Pennsylvania German traditional fall harvest events. Over eighty demonstrations make the village come to life.
11th Annual Fall Farm Days - Your entire family will enjoy this old-fashioned weekend at the Amish Farm & House. The weekend is a celebration of Autumn and Pennsylvania Dutch traditions. There will be farm-themed children's activities including buggy and wagon rides, contests and tours of the Amish Farm and House.There will also be cooking demonstrations ranging from apple and snitz pie-making to apple cider, butter and apple butter-making. Plenty of samples will be available. Also on hand will be blacksmiths, woodcarvers, quilters showing off their skills. ul> November A Lancaster Christmas - Discover how Christmas traditions have evolved over time. Historically-recreated settings depict the many changing ways that Christmas has been celebrated for each decade from 1850 through 1960. There will also be a special tribute to F. W. Woolworth's first 5 & 10 store, established 125 years ago in Lancaster, PA.
Trees Galore! - The museum’s annual holiday exhibition features art work by regional artists and friends of the Museum. There will be an art auction as well.
December A Lancaster Christmas - Discover how Christmas traditions have evolved over time. Historically-recreated settings depict the many changing ways that Christmas has been celebrated for each decade from 1850 through 1960. There will also be a special tribute to F. W. Woolworth's first 5 & 10 store, established 125 years ago in Lancaster, PA.

Country Christmas Village - When you visit the Landis Valley Museum's Country Christmas Village, you will experience Pennsylvania German contributions to Christmas with warm cider and freshly baked cookies, holiday decorated trees and "der Belsnickel."
Mayor's Tree Lighting - The official kickoff of the holiday season and festivities.
Old-Fashioned Holiday Weekends - During this special holiday celebration, activities include a holiday house with Santa, horse-drawn carriage rides, holly-trolley tours, a model train display, and much more.
Countdown Lancaster - Come celebrate New Year’s Eve in the good old-fashioned Lancaster County way. There'll be loads of family-oriented entertainment featuring over 100 performers. There'll also be fireworks and a grand finale to usher in the new year. All events are within easy walking distance. Shuttle service is also provided.
