Are you thinking about visiting Litiz but don't know when yet? Here are some of the special Lititz events that will be taking place throughout 2008. The dates, times, and admission prices are accurate as of the time of this posting. However, it is possible that changes may occur as the year progresses. Antique and Craft Shows
AMBUCS 15th Annual Arts and Craft Show: This annual day-long event showcases hand-crafted items, fine art, photography and so much more. The show is sponsored by the Lititz Chapter of AMBUCS which promotes the creation of mobility and independence for people with disabilities. Art Shows
42nd Annual Outdoor Show - Over 200 artisans will be displaying their work for show. Artists compete awards in fine art and sculpture. If you enjoy art, you will love this highly regarded art show, which is presented by the Village Art Association of Lititz. Downtown Celebrations
Lovin' Litiz Every Second! - A great way to see historic downtown Lititz, Pennsylvania is to visit on the second Friday of every month when the town erupts for a special celebration for everyone. Fire & Ice Festival - Enjoy this week-end long Lititz block party with a Winter Wonderland Carnival, on-site ice carvings, games, interactive activities, lots of great food and much more. Watch the live Ice Sculpturing of giant ice sculptures beginning at approximately 4:30 PM on Friday, February 15, 2008. Join the Friday Night Block Party from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM where there will be marshmallow roasts and other seasonal activities. Where the "ice" refers to the ice sculptures, the "fire" refers to the chili cook-off on Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Twenty Chefs will be available with proceeds going towards their designated charities. There will also be cooking demonstrations, entertainment, and fun & games for kids of all ages. The event will be held at Lititz Elementary School, 20 S. Cedar Street, just off Main Street. The 7th Annual Lititz Chocolate Walk - "Trick or Treat for grownups” is often how the Lititz Chocolate Walk has been described by visitors. During this one-of-a-kind experience, you can sample decadent delights prepared by local candy makers and pastry chefs. Over 20 chocolate tasting locations will be set up throughout downtown offering you chocolate treats as you stroll along enjoying the beauty and shops of downtown Lititz. There will also be live musical entertainment, a Chocolate Poetry Contest, and a Dark Chocolate Taste Test. - Location: Throughout Lititz, Lititz, PA 17543

- Admission: Chocolate Walkers need to purchase an official Chocolate Walk button and punch card which enables the wearer to receive a free sample at each of the two dozen stops along the route. Buttons go on sale on July 1, 2008 at participating locations for the advance sale price of $15.00. Beginning October 1, 2007, the cost will increase to $20.00 per button. Button sales are limited to 2000. Patrons are encouraged to purchase their buttons in advance since they sell out quickly. ALL proceeds are donated to the Schreiber Pediatric Center, the Lititz Public Library, and Lititz Kiwanis children's programs.
Holiday Events
Lititz Lions Club 62st Easter Egg Hunt - Children in age will search for 3,500 hardboiled colored eggs donated by Sauders Eggs of Lititz. They will also search for 4,000 pieces of candy and 100 one-dollar special eggs, donated by the Lititz Lions. There will be a separate area set up for children with special needs. - Location: John R. Christmas in the Park - Tree lighting and songfest in Lititz Springs Park. Santa will arrive and join in the festivities on Friday evening and his visiting hours for the holidays will start that night. On Saturday, December 6, 2008, Santa and the Mrs. will take their traditional morning fire engine ride about town on Lititz Fire Company's # 1 engine. The Lititz Moravian Trombone (Brass) Choir will herald the Risen Lord throughout the town beginning at 3:00 A.M. Easter Sunrise Service begins in the Moravian Church Sanctuary at 6:00 AM. It then proceeds at 8:30 AM for the God's Acre Easter Communion at the Lititz Moravian Chapel-Fellowship Hall. At 10:30 there will be the Easter Celebration Worship Service at the Lititz Moravian Church at Main Street and Church Square. - Admission: Free to attend
